2022 Teen Fontana Court
TEEN Fontana – Ava Trejo
Ava Trejo has been a resident of Fontana for seventeen years and is currently a senior at Etiwanda High School. She plans to attend a Cal State University to pursue her lifelong dream of being in the medical field to help others. Ava, a varsity cheerleader, is involved in various academic clubs, is a 4.0+ student, and is passionate about giving back to her community. She is committed to her title of Miss Teen Fontana and plans to continue to be a role model – inspiring young girls everywhere with her smile, optimism, and positivity.
TEEN Ambassador – Sandi Maher
Sandi Maher currently attends Etiwanda High School as a sophomore, and has lived in Fontana for 9 years. Her favorite place in Fontana is the Auto Speedway which annually hosts the NASCAR race. Her future career goal is to work somewhere in the medical field to make an impact in the lives of others. During her free time, Sandi will go on social media or walk her dog.
TEEN Princess – Emily Villa
Emily Villa has lived in Fontana for ten years and proudly attends Kaiser High School. Her favorite place in Fontana is the Mary Vagle Nature Center, which is known for educating youth about Fontana’s native plants and animals. Emily is the Founder and President of the Newspaper Club, Co-Founder and Captain of the Debate Club, and President of the California Scholarship Federation. During her free time, she drafts creative writing pieces or reads, and currently aspires to become a gynecologist and contribute to the field of women’s health.
TEEN Princess – Sam Moreno
Samantha Moreno is the CEO & Founder of Thundar, Lightning, and Peace (ThundarLP), a nonprofit organization geared towards helping Veterans with Trauma. Sam is a senior at Etiwanda High School, in the top 10% of her class, and a member of the Etiwanda Varsity Cheer Squad. Her passion is to be either an Orthopedic Surgeon in a VA Hospital or Military Trauma Surgeon in the battlefield. Sam’s favorite quote is by Peanuts Charlie Brown and Snoopy, “You only live once……. Wrong! We only die once. We live every day”
TEEN Princess – Sofia Melendrez
Sofia Melendrez was raised in her hometown Fontana and is currently attending Summit High School. She loves challenging herself academically and athletically as she is a 5x gold academic medalist, Junior Honor Attendant, Varsity Cheerleader, and an ASB representative. Sofia loves serving her community, and was awarded Youth Referee of the Year by AYSO Soccer all while serving in the children’s ministry at Water of Life Community Church. Sofia intends to continue her education at a 4 year university, attend medical school, and continue to impact youth and children as a Pediatrician.
TEEN Princess – Taylor Villanueva
Taylor Villanueva currently attends Etiwanda High School as a senior. She is passionate about helping others and giving back to the community as she hopes to become a criminal lawyer while doing pro-bono work for immigrants. She is part of her school’s National Honors Society as Public Relations Officer, varsity tennis player, and is a Pomona College Academy for Youth Success Scholar. In her free time, Taylor enjoys sewing and spending time with her friends and family. She is honored as well as excited to represent and serve the city of Fontana through the Miss Fontana Organization.
